I used to buy Havana 7 from Paragon. They had quite a decent selection last time i was there, including Sailors and Mt. Gay.
    This is it... The apocalypse.

I was in paragon on my hols a while back and just planning to get myself some j+b.

Then realised it was 2:30 and all I could do was look on lovingly at the bedimmed selection.

It looked pretty good - from a distance.

Sang som is a rum but it's pretty rough stuff. Compared to Captain Morgan or Bundaberg it's plonk.
We could all sit outside on banana lounges discussing the best way to rebuild a 4WD transmission and agree, through shared stories of conquests supporting our assertions, that there is no basis to the proposition that those least assured of their persuasions are the first to condemn others for theirs.

Never was that impressed by Bunda... found it to have a weird after-taste.

Bundy is a rum I've never acquired a taste for. Sang Som on the other hand, that stuff is damn rough. Had one of my drunkest nights ever drinking Sang Som buckets down in Ao Nang. Woke up on a random island and to this day I still don't know what island it was. This was back in 2004 when I was younger and dumber, haven't touched the stuff since.

no arguing with the baguettes Francois left behind though.

    ---Update---

a lot of bars these days have Hoegaarden on tap. Hoegaarden seems to have gone all aggressively commercial and i don't find it anywhere near as delicious as it was in the mid 90s, but hey it's still a damn sight finer than Heineken.
    Imodium can't stop me.

Sang Som is no more. I've been told they're out of business; which I find hard to believe, but it's disappeared here. Tesco, Big C, local, kaput!
