No, I'm not weighing out drugs. For summer school next month I will be teaching science and part of the experiments I want to do will need digital scales. The school just sort of shook their heads when I asked if we can find some, so I will try and get some myself. Has anyone seen any around bangkok? Any idea of prices? Google searches aren't coming up with anything over here, but they are really cheap in the UK (10 - 15 quid).
Any help would be much appreciated
e bay might be your best bet
There are a couple of shops at Zeer, Rangsit that sell digital test equipment. They might have some. Amorn, has a shop at Zeer, as well as elsewhere around Bangkok. They might be worth a look. Can't help you with prices though, sorry.
It wasn't me............I wasn't even there.
Proper lab scales do not come cheap. A 2 place scale cost 25,000 THB from one of the laboratory suppliers, I can't remember which one but it wasn't Gammaco.
The science shop at the planetarium at Ekkamai might have some.
If it's just digital scales that you might you for cooking then Verasu or Robinsons may be the best bet.
Note for the dimensionally retarded: 6" = 150 mm

Gemstone dealers use them.
I would head for the gemstone district at the bottom end of Silom Road and New Rd. There must be lots of gemstone supplier shops there selling balances and scales of all makes and prices.

thanks for all the replies.... Since it is only for a kindegrarten class I am not too worried about them being too precise. Cooking scales that go to 1 decimal point will be fine. I will check out some of the places mentioned.
Cheers
