Min Buri to Huamark transport

I did a search, but I didn't come up with the answer, so here goes -- other than taxi or private transport, what would be the most convenient way to get from Min Buri (Hat Thai Rat Rd. Soi 35 area) to the Huamark sport facilities next to Rmkhamhaeng University? Does the Saen Saeb canal have boat services as far as Min Buri?

Perhaps to avoid all this drama, are there any swimming pools for lap swimmers in Min Buri or nearby? Most Thai kids are sweet happy little water splashing munchkins and all, but they are a right pain when they get in the way when one is trying to get some lap swimming done.

I know there used to be a gym with a pool on the top level of The Mall Bang Kapi. You can get a van from Minburi to there. It takes about 30-40 minutes. Let me see if I can find a link.

Looks like the eastern most stop is the Asoke Bridge pier. If you go to this site and click on the stop you think you want, it'll take you to a map showing where the pier is, and then you can track how far it is to your destination. There's several stops in the Ram Uni area.
