I just finished a teaching year here and before I go back home, I'd like to travel around a bit. The problem is that I don't want to carry all that luggage around with me either, so I was thinking about sending home a box of things I won't need.
My question is whether the Thailand Post is a good way to send packages to the US. I know they are probably going to be cheaper than DHL or UPS, but is it reliable? Please let me know your experience or opinion.
Thanks!
Used to come to Thailand for long holidays during which I read a lot of books. Always sent them home to Canada in big boxes that always arrived. Sent them surface mail or whatever the cheapest rate was and they usually took around 3 months.
It's not Thailand post you should be worried about, it's your local customs.
I had a few things stolen sending stuff from Australia and Thailand. The customs yellow tape was all around the box, so this is how I know.
^Yeah, maybe. Fortunately those types aren't likely to whoop it up over scooping Southeast Asia in the Age of Commerce. Neither volume.
Inside Thailand- never a problem.
Stuff coming from outside Thailand- 50/50.
Makes you wonder if it ever left home soil.
There are few problems in life that cannot be solved with toast.
One of them, however, is opening a can of corned beef with that stupid key. This cannot easily be done at the best of times, and toast is of surprisingly little use in resolving the issue.
