---Update---
I meant Phuket!
The TEFL course does not provide accommodations??
No, not the course I am taking.
You know, TEFL is not really necessary. Just saying ...
Do you have a college degree?
I've corrected the spelling. In my opinion, you would be better off just finding a lower priced guest house or a studio apartment for around 5000 baht per month.
Thanks for the advice! I have lined up a place to stay and since I am vegan I wanted something with a kitchen too.
Seriously, you need to reconsider the entire program. TEFL jobs in Thailand are easy to get if you have a degree--the cert. isn't going to help.
Karen, since you are vegan and therefore need to do most or all of your cooking, you can get studio apartments with a counter space. Just pick up an electric countertop hob and a couple of pots and pans. They work well for someone with limited space. A word of advice though. For anything like that, get a good brand name, otherwise it will die in no time.
"TeacherKaren": That's what your Thai students will call you. Or did you already know that?
