Guy's, my G/friend will be in BKK from 3rd-20th Sept do you have any ideas in the Thong Lor or Lad Prao areas. Easy access to transport links and around £20-£30 per night?

The Mix is another boutique hotel in that price bracket directly beneath Phrakhanong station, not too far from the Jasmine I think. I've never stayed there but it's the hotel of a friend and the rooms are pretty nice, and he and his wife are nice people so I'll give him some free advertising: The Mix Bangkok -- Boutique Hotel & Guest House
Proper serviced apartments in good locations near to a BTS tend to be either awful or very expensive I've found. Off the MRT there are a good few around Hway Kwang, however. Some of them are rather loud in the night though.
