Well, it clearly was in my 5 days course, I promise. Though I guess in your intensive 20 minute 'How to be a real live professional white English teacher' course they just covered it briefly on the 90 seconds 'history of English literature' module with a 10 second lesson on the sweet sweet irony of the bard

with all due respect, one thing i don't get is why you stubbornly refuse to understand or believe that "Linguistics" has little to do with the practicalities of teaching a particular language. it's a completely separate subject. no really, look it up. or did you think Noam Chomsky's job was teaching EFL classes at MIT?
    Imodium can't stop me.

I did the first 3 levels of the Thai program at Chula. I had couple of mates that continued on to finish that program. Apparently, to complete the whole program is not as easy as one would expect.

    My 5 cent.

One of those men for whom for whom statements like that mean an end to any argument or discussion q.v I can't see it (therefore it does not exist.)

as a construct, that style of argument could turn out to be very poor in the face of certain types of circumstances (gamma radiation for example).

Yeah, but you never seem to be able to lay hands on a supernova when you need to get the point across.
