    Phuket: Powerlifting, where?

So yeah, as the title says; anybody living in Phuket Town who knows a decent gym?

I've been living in Nai Yang the last few months, and while my current gym is nice and clean, they have no bench press or squat rack. These two items are what I am primarily looking for. Additionally, a proper cable setup for rows, triceps pull-down and lateral raises would be cool, as well as a bar for pull-ups. Heavy dumbbells would be a big plus (>50lbs).

Bonus points for power rack and deadlift platform.

If you know the price for monthly membership, it would be cool to know. If not, I'll go there and ask myself.

Thanks for the help guys <3

A Danish mate of mine has just registered a company selling protein supplement type stuff. I would guess he would have an idea of where... I'll skype him now

    Cool, thanks man!

If his company has an internet address I'll take that as well - I currently get my stuff from phukethealthshop.com, but would be interested in cheaper alternatives

    Kind regards,
    Mike

I have vague memories of a well kitted out gym in the heart of Patong when I visited there as a backpacker in 2006. Can't remember any more than that but I am sure someone on here will know what I am taking about!

I also went to a small Rocky-style gym in Kata when I was there that had lots of iron to play with. Cheaper but open air with no aircon, TVs, pretty ladies etc.

On a slightly related topic - can someone recommend a good gym close to the city centre?
