Best places to live in Chiang Mai

I'm helping a friend. He will move there in two weeks.
    Home remedies:
    1. AVOID ARGUMENTS WITH THE FEMALES ABOUT LIFTING THE TOILET SEAT BY USING THE SINK.
    2. IF YOU CAN'T FIX IT WITH A HAMMER, YOU'VE GOT AN ELECTRICAL PROBLEM.
    3. FOR HIGH BLOOD PRESSURE SUFFERERS ~ SIMPLY CUT YOURSELF AND BLEED FOR A FEW MINUTES, THUS REDUCING THE PRESSURE ON YOUR VEINS. REMEMBER TO USE A TIMER.

I knew people who lived around Rim Kahm, between the loop and the zoo, off of Huay Kaew and Neihiman Road. They liked being out of the town center, still on the songtaew routes, views of the mountains, lots of all kinds of restaurants and farang-friendly places, not high crime, reasonable traffic snarls, etc.

Land and House is always a good if pricey option.

He'd like a quiet neighborhood, who wouldn't. House or apt. I don't think it really matters to him. Being close to town would seem to matter if he went shopping. His disco dancin drinkin days are over, er ... never were. Out of town would be alright. Is the traffic really bad there? Is it like Hat Yai?

Nope, there is bugger all traffic in chiang mai to speak of.
i live in a village in Sansai noi, about 10km North of the city centre, lovely and peaceful, nice swimming pool, gym and what nots. Takes all of 12 minutes to get to the city centtre but I rarely bother, there's enough to do here. Wanking for example.

Compared to Bangkok, there is no traffic in Chiang Mai. Compared to Nakon Nowhere, it's infinitely crowded and congested.

You should see ChiangMaiNoon roar through traffic, like a sharp, thin knife cutting through warm butter.....

If you move in to Baan Chalada Land and Houses Chiang Mai, you'll be my neighbour. Nice view of the mountain and the security keeps the rif raf on the other side of the fence.
