The guys and gals changing the grease in the fry vats had more of 'em though.

Or...a room air conditioner, a Panasonic VHS video camera to make home and amateur movies on, cable TV (including Cinemax and HBO), a Mitsubishi TV set, and a brand new Ford-owned Japanese car...at least one that was six years old on purchase. Add to that a hell of a lot of VHS blank video tapes for recording movies off of cable (about three hundred).

i ran away from home when i was sixteen. found my way to london. got a job in wimpy near notting hill gate tube; well i was desperate. my first morning, the manager, some middle-management wannabe, told me about the great prospects there were in flipping round, flat pieces of pseudo meat, frying reconstituted potato chips (aka fries) until the maximum level of carcinogenic oil is absorbed, serving obesity-inducing shakes, pouring coffee that inflicts third degree burns if consumed without waiting 20 minutes, and serving a clientele that would always find life problematic, for a young man, like myself, with burning ambition in his eyes.
i had left by lunchtime.
well, i wasn't that desperate.
