    Water used to boil eggs is full of minerals from the shell of the eggs. Watering plants with it is great for the soil and plants.

    I think the ratio of rice to water depends on the grade of rice you are using. I was also following the knuckles measurment but then we changed the rice we were getting and now it comes out soggy as a soup.

    Bingo cy, 3 minutes on high for a spud. Take it out and give it another half hour to three quarters of an hour in the oven hot. Creamy on the inside and the skin get nice a crispy as well.

    Re heating a cup of coffee is also another nice one.

    If you are cooking beans, don't add salt. The salt will make the skins of the beans tough and you'll bruise your molars or something.

    onion and garlic skin still hold alot of flavrou. For a perfect gravy sweat down all trimmings and skin from onions, garlic, (even carrot peelings if well washed). Throw in a handful of plain flour and cook out for a few minutes. slowly add a rich veg stock, mixing and making sure the flour doesn't go lumpy. Seasoning and gravy browning. Strain and serve.
