Where should I change my money?

I'm going back to Ireland in 2 weeks and I want to exchange some baht into euros. Where is the best place to do it? Thanks!

Walk out the door of Au Bon Pan in Discovery Center and cross the street. (the walkover is safer) There is a money exchange there that gives the best rate I've found in Bkk. Knock on the door and they'll buzz you in.

No this place is high end. Pilots, diplomats and the such. They beat the bank rate, ask for nothing and give you and old adding machine receipt for your troubles. Change anywhere.

walk straight out of Gullivers (Sukhumvit) and dont go down the main soi, but rather keep walking straight thru a short, connecting soi.

In about 100 steps you're in (what some thai's call): the "blackmarket money." Thais at the counter, Arabs are their number one customers...they give a good rate there.

PS: It's not very "shady" at all.

I still follow my 'financial' friend's advice tho: "If it's under 10,000 USD,... what's the difference? Pocket change really."
