N.H. Primary Early Results
After knocking off the establishment candidates in Iowa, it will be interesting to see how Obama and Huckabee do in N.H.
The first results from Dixville Notch are in (all 17 votes), and Obama and McCain won.
Quote:
The town has 17 voters — two Democrats, three Republicans and 12 independents. Turnout was 100 percent. Four votes were cast by absentee ballot despite the fact that each voter was given his or her own booth at the town’s single polling station.
The results were:
McCain with 4 votes, Mitt Romney with 2 votes, Rudy Giuliani with 1 vote. Those were the only Republican votes cast.
On the Democratic side, Obama won a landslide 7 votes compared with 2 for John Edwards, one for Bill Richardson and none for Hillary Clinton.

You Decide 08! » McCain, Obama Win First Ballots in Dixville Notch, N.H.
The recent polling data seems to indicate that this is more or less how it will play out throughout the state.

Re: N.H. Primary Early Results
New Hampshire
The polling is too tight. If.... the polling was done correctly.
It seems the sample size was too low, but then again, I'm no pollster.
When polling is done correctly is indeed, a science.
The GOP side looks neck and neck at the moment.

Re: N.H. Primary Early Results
More early (albeit limited) results...
Quote:
In Hart's Location, Democrat Obama received nine votes, Hillary Rodham Clinton received three and John Edwards received one.
On the Republican side, McCain received six, Mike Huckabee received five, Ron Paul received four and Mitt Romney one.

McCain, Obama, get early votes in N.H. villages - Boston.com
I think it will be very interesting to see how Ron Paul does in NH. If he is somehow able to come in fourth with a double digit percentile, he'd have more than enough reason to continue on with his campaign through "Super Tuesday"--much to chagrin of the RNC.

Re: N.H. Primary Early Results
Still a little early to call this one.
Ah yes, Dixesville Notch. They would have known that result before the votes were cast.
Love to watch the coverage on the Tellie, but presume it's not going to happen without CNN.

Re: N.H. Primary Early Results
It looks like Obama will take it, thankfully. Hillary is too negative to win nationally. People simply do not like her style. Obama is good, and he is new. I sincerely hope he can go all the way. America needs something new and different.

Re: N.H. Primary Early Results
^ No link? No dice, then.
We won't know until tomorrow morning. The votes in NH will come in quickly.
South Carolina Primary is on Jan. 26
Obama is up 42% to 30% for Hillary.
And no, I don't have a link. So....no dice.

Re: N.H. Primary Early Results
Yes, on closer examination.
What the hell is this. So the election, apart for those places like Dixeville Hollow, hasn't even started yet.
So much for live updates.
Tomorrow morning it is then. Benedict spoketh the truth.

I can never tell a lie.

Re: N.H. Primary Early Results
Obama conceded moments ago, but I wonder if he wasn't jumping the gun. Lots of college towns have yet to report.
Either way, it appears most independents voted for McCain which really hurt Obama.
