I will only answer the phone if it is during the break time. While teaching, I switch my phone to silent. IMO it is unprofessional to answer the phone during a lesson as that will break the flow and distract the students.

Just in case the OP still gives a shit and is still having this same dilemma every day, its very unprofessional. Would you be happy with a kid answering their phone during your lesson? If you answer yours, you can't tell them not to answer their's.
