Re: The Pak Tai Dialect Game
Guys, I can't be arsed to type the Thai--actually just don't have time but here goes:
Big boss (not a supervisor but the person who pays the salary;
Central: hua naa
Southern: nai hua
cheater;
Central: kii goong (?)
Southern: kii mor (this may be specific to Koh Yao Noi but not sure)

Re: The Pak Tai Dialect Game
I thought "kii mor" was more like someone who tends to boast and tell lies, not necessarily a cheater.
Not sure though.
Nana, help us out here.

Re: The Pak Tai Dialect Game
^ If it's ขี้โม้ then that's what I thought, too... Where are the native speakers when you need 'em?!!
Crew: in Central Thai, the word for "cheater"/"crook" is Kee Gohng ขี้โกง (rather than "goong"). I'd forgotten the Southern word for "boss"; nice one.

Yeah, I meant "caucasian"; didn't know the Southern word for "guava". Cool.
Beginning to wonder if I was right putting the extra vowel in my transliteration for the Central Thai, now... reminds me of those questions on "game setii"!
Here's another one:
"Nam Ga-bpi" น้ำกะปิ (Central Thai ) becomes "Koei" เคย in the South

What you guys understand is correct.
Cheater is ขี้โกงKee Gong or ขี้ฉ้อ Kee Chor.
Boss is นายหัว Nai Hua
Now what is Pak Tai word for a hut?

What is 'bong' in Pak Thai. Maliwana sings a song about how the cops can take anything but his bong but I don't know the word he uses.

For the exclamation goddamnit, we just don't have it. We just don't have God and we just don't say such thing about Buddha.

I know Nana. Just a bit of fun. Actually, we aren't speaking of God, but rather encouraging him to send something or someone to eternal damnation. Not so bad really.
