Muay Thai and Takraw, there you go. You can start with those and maybe make some friends at the same time.

I don't think it matters so much where things come from, it's what you do with them really!!!

Nationality runs much deeper than passports and citizenship though.

What's the point in this? It's the same in every country. Possibly excepting aboriginal Australian.

Re: What is Thai Culture Exactly.

Do educated Thai folks, when asked the origin of Buddhism or the old tales, really not tell you "India"?

I'd very very surprised. This kind of "Thais think it's all them" attitude, if accurate assumes an

educated populace being willfully ignorant. Thais who are educated in the modern western fashion- least as much so as back home - or

your crowd back home- if that's your standard of

comparison? It's not the case. If you're thinking of your average Thai, they don't have the same conceptual parameters

of history or probably really give a fuck about your whole context anyway. So why would you conclude anything much?

Add to that your own projection of what they're thinking unless you speak Thai.

Find the history from good historians. Many of whom won't be Thai, surely. But facts is facts maam.

Re: What is Thai Culture Exactly.

Look at zehner. He thinks Tipperary is the centre of the universe for fuck's sake. Let's step inside his mind for a minute to see what's going on, shall we? Follow me...here we go.

"Hmmm...Tipperary, fucking brilliant place!! A Tipp man was first on the moon but he didn't tell anyone out of modesty for his Tipp bred genius. Humble and clever, that's Tipp for ya. ......I wonder what's on TV. MINT!! MIIIINT!!!!"

The Ramakien, which is taught in every Thai high school is classifed as Thai by the students and teachers who teach it.
