On 6 October 2008, Mr. Pichit Glieg-grutun, The Sattahip Rojanatamsatam Rescue Officer received a distraught phone call concerning a huge, two-meter long python lying unconscious on the lawn of a local house. Apparently, there has been a spate of attacks recently on the local puppy population, which has fallen foulof this snake menace.
Miss janjira Chamchun (24), the first person to find the python, told the rescue team that from the shape of the python's stomach, it was obvious that it had been taking a puppy snack before falling a sleep. Many puppies, especially poodles, have apparently recently gone missing in the Navy House Village in Plutaluang, Sattahip. Initially, the villagers had suspected each other of stealing the poodle pups in order to sell or hide in their houses. However,now the real culprit has been found. The locals want the rescue team to catch the python quickly to prevent it eating any moreof the animal population in the vicinity.
Only recently, a gigantic 10-metre reptile, had been found in a Sattahip chicken coup, devouring chickens. Once again, local residents had suspected their neighbours of stealing the hens and fighting cocks, which had disappeared, and were similarly relieved to find the real culprit was a python. Sattahip is close to the hills and countryside, from where these huge reptiles come when they are in need of a tasty snack. Thankfully, no children have so far been devoured by these enormous snakes.

I see quite few pythons round my area. About two weeks ago I actually saw a monitor lizard take ones head off while I was walking my dog. Unbelievable site! Damn shame I didn't have my camera.
I have a monitor lizard who lives in and around the klong behind my house. I think snakes that eat the vermin called poodles ought to get a medal, or a something special. I am tired of vermin being classifed as dog just because some crazy people think they are cute.
