I've been to Pattaya several times and never really felt scared or threatened. I guess it is mainly because I don't go there specifically for the whore bars or to get pissed out of me head. The last time I went there I had a good time and enjoyed walking around and seeing so many bizarre looking people...it was almost a breath of fresh air. I like Pattaya for the simple fact you can have a good meal...enjoy the entertainment...and it's close to Bangkok...plus it's a good stopover between Samet and Chang. Will be heading back in January...I'll post on my travels and hopefully snap some good pictures...
