    Well, some sparklers at least.

But it's suggested that what actually started the fire were far more dangerous fireworks used as part of the band's set, no?

Those sparklers are not as safe as most people think they are. When I was a kid we used to weld metal with them just for fun. If you can weld metal with those things, think of what you can do with say oh, hmmm... wall and ceiling sound proofing?

^ No, sparklers are NOT safe.

Lots of fires have been started because of them.

But the real killer sadly, was only one door, and an enclosed area (smoke inhalation).

Sadly I have to disagree. The real killer was a lack of education and regulation in fire safety.

it still isn't advisable to set off fireworks indoors though regardless.

the owners gave 20k thb to victims families. wtf! most of these people had 20k in their pocket. ive heard of 100k being given to rice farmers/somtam ladies who died in bike/car accidents.

I agree, Smiley. And I think we both agree with each other.

    1. do NOT light fireworks indoors. Period. (It's very stupid.)

    2. There needs to be adequate emergency exits

    3. safety regs need to be followed, as well as education.

Let's just say, that there were plenty of fire exits, and all of the people got out after the fire started.

The fire still would have burned the place down, or some of it down. Lost of business, loss of jobs, costs money for the fired dept. to put out.

    Solution: don't light fireworks indoors.

Re: Santika Video Minutes Before Fire

I received an email with pictures attached showing the bodies in the positions they were found. At the top of the stairs people are piled on top of each other all facing the exit. All are badly badly burned. At the bottom of the stairs is a concentration of bodies which have very little fire damage. I guess they died from the fumes or suffocation.

    RIP
