They have been declared official holidays, within Bangkok, but I also read a take-back that I can't find now that said private businesses can make up their own minds whether to grant a holiday or not.

Just called customer services at my bank and they won't know 'til tomorrow if it's a holiday (of all things to call it) tomorrow...
