thats the real question, good catch.
Too long in Exile, too long not singing my song.
Too long like a rolling stone, Too long in exile
Too long in Exile, baby you just arent my friend.
Too long in Exile my friend, Baby you can never go home again.
Sounds very iffy that.
My next door neighbours have challenged me to a water fight , so I am just writing this while I am waiting for the kettle to boil .
Family? Or else he had significant savings back home. My guess is his family sent him the money. He did well to get all the way back to the UK. Probably thought he could leave the murder behind him by getting out of Thailand.
Happy that he got caught. Hope he serves the maximum sentence in a Thai prison.
Wonder what will happen to the 5 million? It should all go to the victims family.
Getting stabbed is one of my worst fears. I rather get shot.
That's just it! We know the "maximum" is how much money you have in the bank to expedite your release.
This piece of shit pulled out a gun in a crowded Chaing Mai bar, and put two bullet holes in a dude's chest and served 2 fucking years for it! If this scumbag Aldhouse ends up back in Thailand, (and his family has 5,000,000 baht to throw around) he'll be out before lunch!
The best thing to happen in this case is for the UK to fight extradition and make him serve his stint in the U.K.
4 more years!
he looks like a bit of a geek from his picture, if you just look at his face he could be an estate agent.

Isn't he wanted in the UK for armed robbery anyway? not sure how true that is though.
'After the game, the king and the pawn go into the same box'
Don't kill him. Make him suffer in a Thai prison.
Good news ... i hope justice follows
He may have known he'd be arrested in the UK, but waiting for extradition and tying things up, are likely to his advantage. Also, doing time in a UK prison would be easier than a Thai one.
Hope he's extradited, and convicted, and doesn't get off because of Baht.
The people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked, and denounce the peacemakers for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same in any country." --Hermann Goering, Nuremburg

He knew how to escape Thailand through a border crossing that wasn't connected to the immi database, so I'd say that's clever. He was also able to 'top off' his Thai account with 5 million baht, so someone underwrote his escape, and that's quite clever as well. I'm guessing he could disappear more easily in the UK, probably has friends there who would gladly conceal him. Good job to the folks at UK immigration as the airlines didn't seem to have him flagged either as a fugitive.
Killing another person wasn't so clever though.
I wouldn't want to be in his shoes either. Not clever, most def.
I wonder if the BiB will actually follow up on identifying those that helped him. Might be hard to do, or not. It depends.
And yes, the 5 million baht....family from UK?
That's a lotta dough to be sent to Thailand. Maybe to pay off those who helped him evade the police for 2 weeks?
See International forum ...
