Knocking off a successful expat news editor is almost more noteworthy than a bar brawl that results in a stabbing. Both are very bad PR for beach community vacation destinations.

This Aldhouse bastard is f*cked no matter where he ends up. He's either going to serve time in the UK or serve time in Thailand. The worst part for him is having to live with himself. I couldn't do it. Knowing that I stabbed and murdered someone, for basically no good reason, would haunt me for the rest of my life. If he doesn't feel that way now, he will eventually.

I read that he wasn't stopped in the UK because of the crime here but because he skipped probation while out on license for the armed robbery.
He'll now be serving the penalty for that. Upon completion he'll be released and become a free man. He won't get extradited that quickly, even if the case goes to court quickly and the court does decide to grant the extradition, he'll be able to appeal (at the tax payers expense) at least 2 times.
