I bet if they named it something other than Suvarnabhumi, for god's sake, it would rank even higher.
Thailand's Suvarnabhumi Airport Named 10th World Best Airport
April 28, 2012
BANGKOK, April 28 (Bernama) -- A renowned world air transport-rating agency, Skytrax, has named Thailand's Suvarnabhumi International Airport as the world's 10th best international airport for outstanding aviation services, according to Thai News Agency on Saturday.
Somchai Sawasdipol, Director of the Suvarnabhumi International Airport under the jurisdiction of Airports of Thailand Public Company Limited, told journalists Saturday that the "Skytrax World Airport Awards 2012" with the ranking was announced on April 19.
Somchai said that the Suvarnabhumi International Airport won this year's Skytrax World Airport Awards in the category of international airports serving 30-50 million global passengers annually.
Somchai acknowledged that the Suvarnabhumi International Airport was listed as the world's 10th outstanding international airport following votes given by more than 12 million passengers worldwide through its website from July 2011 to early 2012, and that Skytrax conducted the updated rating from passengers using 385 international airports.
According to the Suvarnabhumi Airport top executive, South Korea's Incheon International Airport was voted the number one international airport in the world this year, followed by Singapore's Changi International Airport, the Netherlands' Amsterdam International Airport, Germany's Munich International Airport and Malaysia's KL International Airport.

Well, I've used both Bangkok and Amsterdam airport recently - and they are absolute poles apart.
The worst job in Thailand must be the man who has to sit down with a blue marker pen and mark a number two on the two-baht coins to stop people thinking they are one-baht coins.
Ok, poles apart. Which is better?

I regularly find *any* ranking above the top 100 for Sue-wanna-Boom airport to be laughable. Nearly every other airport I use is better, probably because other airports are not conceived as a super-shopping center first, with the ability to accommodate planes as a far second...
... and a bad shopping center, at that.
Swampybum , shitehole.
My next door neighbours have challenged me to a water fight , so I am just writing this while I am waiting for the kettle to boil .
I've been to many an airport that was more accommodating, but I would call Survarnabumi a shithole.
4 more years!
So what were the other 9? The link doesn't show them.
^
get thee to a maths teacher, why woulds't thee be a breeder of subnumerates?
I just realized there were less than nine.
Aye you to give me the rolling eyes smiley! With articles like this, I just skim through really quickly. I was looking for a list, say a numbered list. I can't be arsed to read every word in that.
I had no idea where to go in Suvarnabhumi. It would have taken me much longer to get around if I didn't know anyone that works there.
