First I've heard of them.
Looks like it may all be an elaborate hoax.
Man 'solves mystery' of stingray shoesRayfish Footwear, which is purportedly based in Thailand, has provoked outrage among animal lovers since 2010 when it launched a website describing its mission to customise the animals for fashion.
It said it had genetically modified the rays to have colourful, patterned skin perfect for shoes by mixing its genes with a rattlesnake and fish.
Earlier this year the company said it would sell customised shoes created from the stingray "leather" for $1800 a pair.
If they made a Steve Irwin model I bet it would sell in Australia by crikey.![]()
We could all sit outside on banana lounges discussing the best way to rebuild a 4WD transmission and agree, through shared stories of conquests supporting our assertions, that there is no basis to the proposition that those least assured of their persuasions are the first to condemn others for theirs.
