I never understood the banality that Asians have a shame culture. I've hear Chinese tell me China is a fair society, Koreans tell me there are no ghettoes in Korea, Japanese tell me they are peaceful, harmonious people, Thai tell me they are sexually conservative and chaste.

How can these people so shamelessly lie about their societies and people think they have a shame culture? I'd never say America has little gun crime or no fat people--I'd be too ashamed to make such an obvious lie!
