SATTAHIP – October 19, 2012 [PDN]: at 12 a.m., a ladyboy was arrested for theft at the investigation room of the Sattahip police station, Chonburi. Announcing the arrest was Pol. Col. Chanapat Nawalak, the director of Sattahip police station; with Pol.Lt.Col. Prakorb Sangpring, the vice director of suppression division; Pol. Lt. Col. Nikom Pomsanam, the vice director of detective division; Pol. Lt. Col. Thapanat Chayanapat, the detective inspector; Pol. Lt. Capt. Thanasak Prasartthong; and the police detective forces.

The suspect was identified as Mr. Udomchai Phutom or Mr. Film, age 24, a ladyboy waitress at Star bar Pattaya in soi 8, south Pattaya. Police charged Mr. Udomchai with taking other people’s properties that included an iPod and GPS navigator worth more than 10,000 baht.

The victim of the theft was identified as Mr. Christian Krunicks, age 62, nationality German, living at house number 222/6, moo 8, tambon Bangsare, Sattahip Chonburi.

In the middle of the night, Mr. Christian came to the police station to report the theft to Pol. Maj. Capt. Ubon Wongkamchai, detective officer of the Sattahip police station. Mr. Christian told police that while he was walking in the south Pattaya area, he saw the ladyboy Mr. Udomochai, and thought that she was very beautiful.

He was so smitten by her dazzling beauty, he mistakenly assumed she was a real woman. So he asked her to come with him to sleep at his home. However, when they were later in his house, he realized to his horror that “she” was a ladyboy.

He then told the ladyboy that he would send him back to the restaurant bar. But while he was in the toilet, the ladyboy took his iPod and fled his house. After Mr. Christian discovered the theft, he came to the police.

After hearing the victim’s complaint, the police rushed to arrested the ladyboy. They immediately caught Mr. Udomochai at his place of employment. After he was arrested, the ladyboy confessed to stealing the victim’s iPod, because he was in a rage for Mr. Christian’s hurtful rejection of him, only because he was not a real woman.

Mr. Udomochai said he had also taken time away from work to be with Mr. Christian, so he took the victim’s iPod to compensate for his time lost.
