This is something I find only too frequently.

A complete inability to appreciate something they do might have any kind of negative effect on others. I've often wondered whether a lifetime of watching dumb cartoons is responsible or whether there is a high autism rate. To be fair many adults seem incapable of appreciating that something will even have a negative effect on themselves until it is too late.

Tests like these are very subjective. For starters many kids here go to school later. Up in Isaan very few attend nursery. Are these tests Western or Thai based because you just can't compare like for like. One of the great things about young kids here is they are allowed to be kids and not bombarded with computers, gadgets etc at a ridiculously young age. At this age lets kids explore and stop testing them. My 4 year old will be educated here as I don't believe that Western education is that much better anymore.

Probably stuff like this: the parents are working to many hours or cant be bothered or one is not around and the other has gone elswhere for work so granny is the 'primary carer'.

Most here know the critcal factor in those early years is the parents educating their own children.
