Ordered it from Japan. I understood it was stored for 18 years - I had my doubts about that. I couldn't believe my eyes when it arrived, a 20-year-old Suzuki - exported only 90 of them, none to the USA - standing there looking just like new, had 6,000 Kilos on the odometer. I put a wider rear tyre on it and some fatter hand grips, other than that it's 100% orig. It cost me 50,000 in all to get it here.

Too long in Exile, baby you just arent my friend.
Too long in Exile my friend, Baby you can never go home again.
Great looking bike. Four cylinders, maybe 550 pounds, maybe 80 horsepower (the turbo 750's had 85). So, how does that Katana 750 differ from the Katanas that were sold in the USA? Hey, what's your asking price?
Come on JD, how much?
Is it a suitable bike to learn on?![]()
How much and do you have the import papers for it. I presume you imported it as one whole bike not in parts.
Imported as motor and frame. Has 90 HP and weighs 500 lbs. These were not exported save 70 to England and about 20 to Ozland. There are three versions of this model, mine is the Mark III. It has bigger cams and carbs. Anything close to what I paid will do.
Added after 1 minutes:
Oh sure, learn away after you pay, Dawg.Is it a suitable bike to learn on?
Somebody buy it!! Its too good of a deal, and I just cant as there is no place to put two kids going to and coming home from school. But 50,000 for this bike and only 6,000k its just broken in.
Either it is or JD himself is for sale. Check out the avatar.
Here are my questions:
How difficult will it be to get parts for this bike should it need repairs. If there were only a handful exported - I figure it will be pretty difficult AND expensive - for example, if one of those mighty cams were to go? Is the routine stuff easy to get like pads, shocks, chain, etc?
Is it a 1985 or 1986?
Are you in Bangkok?
No, in the south. The motor is an SE version of the 750. They came in lots of models. There are some parts round here but some would have to be ordered from Bkk. A lot of folks think stuff explodes on motorcycles every week but it ain't like that. What does go are things that are easy to repair: brake lining, seals, bearings, chains, tyres. All of these are ubicquitus.
No problem getting parts for it.
The group in Kabn Buri that we ride with sometimes has 2 750's there and one 1100 and a couple of 400's

Is the pic an accurate representation of yours?
I know they came in 3 color combo's - does yours have the gold trim on the engine and frame ( I hear it doesn't wear that well)?
You gotta love that pop-up headlight??! I'd sit at a stoplight and keep flipping it up and down just to get a kick outta all the Thais.
I take it that it is a 1985? Do you know if your engine is an E or F Code?
E ar F? I'll look. No, the gold paint doesn't wear well. The pearl white paint does though.
