I logged perhaps one of the all-time classics on the first day of my new job last week when I pulled out a permant marker and began writing my name on the board.
Colour over the permenant marker with whiteboard marker. Leave for a couple of seconds then rub off.

Its this kind of knowledge that seprerates the amateurs from the professionals

It takes longer than that to have a wank mate. Unless you're kenkannif of course.

I'd started teaching part time at a new college so before term started I thought I'd pop into what I thought would be a deserted building to pick up some material. Spent the entire morning shaking hands with and waiing visiting dignitaries including the Khon Kaen governor who were there to open the new faculty. Nothing wrong with that apart from the fact I was sporting a washed out Isuzu D-Max t-shirt, shorts and a manky pair of flip flops which I'd been wearing whilst watering my garden earlier.

Re: Teaching Bloopers!

Biggest blooper will happen today. I forgot my office keys. All my worksheets, lesson plans, and teaching supplies are in view, but locked away. The spare set of keys, carried by my office assistant, are not here as my office assistant decided to take the day off. So here I am, pulling English, math, and science lessons out of thin air. This will be a day to remember.

Re: Teaching Bloopers!

And cope I did! I got a screwdriver from the maintenance people and gently took the doors off the cabinets. Got what I needed and put the doors back. I love how those old breaking and entering skills never leave you!

^^^ Glad, you worked it out Wang. Good to have the skills in this situation..hehe.

^ Terrible, keegan. Thankfully they were M3, and not prathom. If little ones heard that word, they would probably go home and ask mommy what it meant.

I quite literally, shat myself. Heed this warning: Do not, I repeat, do not, try to slip one out after dining on those DIY bbq's.

'Teaching Bloopers'..... 'Kids Say The Funniest Things'

This whole site is being turned into a septic daytime tv show.

What's the next thread you'll dream up?

Re: Teaching Bloopers!

I often project a powerpoint directly onto the whiteboard without pulling the screen down so I can write on it.

2 months in this classroom and the screen's got 3 marks on it already, can't seem to remember if it's up or down.

Golly!

btw- That one's just for you, Cyrille.

My crazy crazy cuisinaire rods stories are far too graphic for this

forum Cyrille. PM me and I'll send you a free trial membership

to the paysite I've sold them all to - www.nothingbutrod.com.

In Sri Lanka this bloop happened a few times:

An enormous bull cow who lived on the temple grounds would interrupt

class by walking into the classroom and stopping in right front of the blackboard.

I may have a picture somewhere.

Whadyaknow - I was in Kandy, Sri Lanka watching cricket yesterday.

Lovely spot - no rods, though.
