Re: Teaching Bloopers!

Fucking up in class is always a great ice breaker though, mind you when I fell over the students didn't know if they should laugh or cry (was the first farrang teacher they ever had) Since I thought it was funny it made them all open up.

Re: Teaching Bloopers!

OK, I have one:

I'm teaching AP Biology to an advanced class. I start showing them chemical diagrams and they start yawning... So I whip out a few interesting drugs like nootropics. I then go on to explain some other drugs that are bad for them like nicotine, alcohol, etc. Finally, I run out of room and erase the board, start over with "Marijuana", "Methamphetamines", etc.

In walks the director for a surprise evaluation and all he sees is drugs all over the board. Yes of course I had the Thai transliterations so he knew what was going on.

I didn't get fired though. Carry on private.

Oh I did the zipper down too my first day teaching in Thailand. Coincidentally the students all sit at a level where their eyes meet my zipper so of course they noticed and asked me to zip up.

Fortunately I was wearing underwear that day...
