Oh, I really hate those smiley things. Sometimes there's little choice but to use one (particularly in the midst of an AF 'debate' where the protagonists are hyper-sensitive to slights and insults by the folk that 'chip in') I think they are horrible little things.

I seem to remember a colleague telling me a story about a college girl sitting in the front row with no panties at all on. Done to tease him apparently. I cant' actually vouch for the veracity of the tale - it could have been wishful thinking on his part or urban legend - but the mental image it conjures up is an interesting one.
