    Speaking skills

I'm looking for a couple of good books to improve my students' speaking skills, all suggestions are welcome.

    ---Update---

Sorry, I didn't mention the age groups, Pra4 to M2-3

Are you looking for a book to assist you or one for the students to read?

If it's to assist you, then maybe you can get some hints from here and snippets from the net, as opposed to a 200 page book.

If it's for the students, I've always felts books are used way too soon. I'm assuming you are looking for pronunciation and intonation, if so, intonation is easier to build via simple dialogues and short stories.

I was speaking to a teacher a while back who told me he uses Harry Potter books with his students. I think there would be a great opportunity to improve both intonation and pronunciation in selected paragraphs, but the chances of the students maintaining a level of understanding of the book (depending on the level, of course) would be slim.

It would be nice if one could combat, reading, speaking and basic understanding from the same tool.

I could be wide of the mark in relation to your needs, if so, no harm, no foul.
