This is a fun game for Mathayom students, but even P4-6 students can do it if they had a few years of English and have a good vocabulary.
The game is kind of like "Master Mind" - only instead of little color pins 5-letter nouns are used which makes it more difficult.
It starts with the teacher choosing a secret 5-letter noun; the students are trying to guess it by providing 5-letter nouns themselves. The amount of matching letters is displayed by a number.
Let's say the secret (invisible) word is LEMON. The teacher writes XXXXX on the board and adds the first word under it, and displays the amount of the matching letters.
For example:
LEMON - this is the secret word, invisible to the students, XXXXX instead
TABLE - suggestion by class; teacher writes a 2 next to TABLE for the matching L and E
TABLE 2 - next suggestion:
PAPER - only one E matches; the secret word can not have two of the same letters
PAPER 1 - next suggestion:
PLATE - again L and E match, so
PLATE 2 - and so on!
PLUMS - does not count! Four-letter words with a plural-s are not valid
HONEY 3 - we're getting warm!
MONEY- 4 - even better! smart kids deduct that H is not in the secret word
CHAIR 0 - this is good! Now the class knows that these five letters are not part of the word.
GLASS 1
GRASS 0 - the L must be the right letter! Also G, a and S are "out".
CLASS 1 - the C is out, too
...and so on. After about twenty words a smart class should be able to find the secret word.
If things take too long or the kids are having difficulties, ask them which letters they believe are in the word and go from there.
To make things more interesting and give it a competitive angle, divide the class into two or more teams and add up the matching letters per team. 0 matching letters are 5 points!
Two teams can also play against each other at the same time.
I hope I have explained well enough for you to understand. Actually it's quite easy, just start, the players get the hang of it.
Anybody wants to give it a go?

---Update---
All you need to do is come up with a five-letter noun!
Bet you get only one matching letter.
pizza
Come on guys, you should be able to come up with a five-letter noun! It's like a lottery in the beginning; after about 5 -10 nouns you can see what's up.
I just add another one:
PIZZA 1
TULIP 1
Who's first to get two matching letters?
Pizza 1
tulip 1
gecko 1
---Update---
Beavis 2
pizza 1
tulip 1
gecko 1
beavis 2 - I cheated there a little to get things going; only five letters allowed!
fable 2
pizza 1
tulip 1
gecko 1
fable 2 - a smart move would have been 'table' !
quilt 1
pizza 1
tulip 1
gecko 1
fable 2
quilt 1
steam 3 - you're getting warm!
table 3! - if fable is 2 and table is 3 you can deduct that 't' is definitely the right letter; look for nouns with t in it
---Update---
pun's got only three letters!
---Update---
- and if you know that t is definitely one of the five letters, you know that quilt=1, meaning q, u, i, l are not in the secret noun
table
This is a very high maintenance game!
