Re: Memorable gigs/festivals
It had to be Lollapalooza - Mountain View, CA for me. I think it was 94 or 95. Pearl Jam, Sound Garden, Red hot Chili Peppers, Jane's addiction, Ice Cube........etc...... This was a great line up!

^ LoL...was that at Glasto? I saw them there (with the pole dancers).
Then again when the Roses played Reading they had go go dancers.

it was my first time seeing Metallica. worshipped them when i was a kid so it was a near-religious experience at the time.

I was them at the Reading festival a few years ago. One of the best live acts I have ever seen.
It was a great day as they followed system of a down, I was right down the front for them!
For those who are about to rock, I salute you!

Re: Memorable gigs/festivals
Two of the best gigs ever for me were: -
1989 - The Floyd at Wembley Stadium. It was the DSOT tour. Everything they did was just amazing.
1979 - Led Zep at Knebworth. God it was hot that weekend. Aaaah, the days of the cheesecloth shirt come flooding back ...

And I was not much into them at the time! I was more into the Pearl Jam, Soungarden and Red Hot Chili Pepper sets. Also, I think Ice Cube showed up which was cool. He got the whole crowd 'waving their hands in the air like they don't care' in unison!
Another memorable show was, Lenny Kravitz. I saw him in Berkley, CA. Babes everywhere. He had some great horn players too. Great Concert.
