Rocking or not is my classification these days j. NIN are usually called industrial, but metallers make up their main audience I'd say. a lot of the time the image and clothes of the band decide what the music is classified as.

I'm disappointed that they are now classified as nu metal, a genre that I really can't stand, as they are so much better than Linkin Biskit or whatever they are called and other bands that insist on having an extra muppet to twiddle knobs and play records instead of doing something real like playing a guitar. I totally agree that Korn haven't exactly improved with age though.

Sorry man. Fashion police say "nooooo" to Korn.  All those bands pb mentioned had some good moments IMO, even Scorpions and Sheffield's finest, the Lepps. AC/DC a near blemishless slate as far as I'm concerned.

Korn to me is a "filtering" type of band. That is to say that if I have a conversation with someone, and they mention they like Korn, I will be much more likely to filter that person away from me right quick.
Kind of like what movies you like says something about your personality, that is certainly the case with music as well. Anyone who can't see that Korn is just a flat out horrible band in every respect has some serious personality issues, issues that likely extend into many other aspects of their personality beyond musical likes and dislikes.
