I can see why people, especially Yanks, would like it. Same reason people like The Eagles. Nostalgic, dewey-eyed, emotive, sentimental, building to the stadium pleasing chorus.
Oh no! The cops are trying to stop Bono, but he can't be stopped though. His message has to get through! The crown boo when they finally get told to shut up. Poor Bono and the lads. Silenced.
That video would have been a perfect opportunity to pour boiling oil down on the crowds of fans and push the band over the side of building. Shame really.
Anyway as far as the music goes, I really don't see what the difference between that song and this
YouTube - lay your hands on me is.
