Me too Grassy. And Rain Dogs, Bone Machine and Mule Variations are right up there with it. His first record, Closing Time, is pretty good too, very straightforward stuff for him, and before he'd "acquired" his trademark voice, but a beautiful record.

Listening to Howlin' Wolf today.

Goodbye baby
Hate to see you go
You know I love you
I'm the causin' of it all

Listening to John Mellencamp sing, after that long intro, "I need a lover that won't drive me crazy....." can you identify with that line?

I've mostly been listening to that arse-scratching animal woman in cheetah-skin pants across the office from me, banging on about this & that all morning. *shudders* Just wish she'd shut the fuck up! Thank you.

skip spence will become famous soon enough
"Mary Won't You Call my Name" by Morphine on itunes random party shuffle.

It's great if you have a big collection, kind of like radio but only with songs you like...

Last 5 songs to be played:

C'mon Baby Let's Go Downtown - Neil Young
Rich Bitch - The Stooges
Dance Of The Vampires - Scientist
Church - Outcast
Family Affair - Sly & the Family Stone

Btw, the radiostations on itunes are worth a listen too.

Christ, I remember the night he died...what is it with rockers and aircraft? It was far worse for me even than hearing the news about John Lennon... I did quite a number of SRV's songs in my last band...(Pride n' Joy, Texas Flood, If the House is Rockin', The Sky is Cryin', and a few more)...This band, in Phoenix, had a THUNDERSTORM guitar player, by day a construction worker, had hands that could crush a walnut, but AMAZINGLY virtuosic...just used to close his eyes, throw his head back and SMOKE on that blues stuff...the crowds (lots of bikers) would go nuts...god, I'd be swayin', pickin' my bass HARD, the bottom notes THROBBING and POUNDING, the smoke'd be in my eyes, the spotlights makin' the sweat run down my face, my bass would be all hot and slippery, and our drummer ( a 6'2" bus-mechanic) would be makin' the floor shake...JESUS, we tore up a lot of bars (and not a few biker rallys) with that stuff...RIP SRV. :chug:

One wonders whether you'd be complaining quite so much about having to go to bed, if you found out that Madame Marmite was bringing a 'friend' over to stay. *imagines the Marmites in sweaty three-in-a-bed romp*

She brought a mate home last night from the gym - very cute. I had to gawp at her discretely though. Unfortunately, a 3 some wasn't mentioned

Mmm, she's wandering around in a black 'baby-doll' nightie.....

Not good, she's tucking into some spicy mango stuff. Chilli tongue is not good on the 'old boy' - I'll wait until later, methinks.

Yes, I like Muse, Unwell. Good moods and musicianship. Its funny, I've got over 20 Gigs of music, but I end up playing the same dozen albums most of the time.
