Nice one, Seb. Sheffield lad are you by any chance?

I was intrigued by the Mark III Cortina there. Put me in mind of a song - not very good - that I'm just going to search for on YouTube. Should be easy enough to find. Hang on.

    ---Update---

Oh, that was horrible. I was looking for 'Gina' by the Salford Jets. The only video I found was even worse than the original.

I like to put this one up every now again. It's England's North Westest bestest - and it's being ironic. Happy memories

    ---Update---

Jonny Mathis + Disco? What would that sound like, I wonder.

Sounds pretty good to me, MM.

I had a 70s disco jag a couple of weeks ago. I was pretty young at the time so I have the fondest memories of Radio 1's breakfast show playlist before I went to school; that sort of thing.

The brilliant thing about YouTube is that I'll remember a record, say Anita Ward 'Ring My Bell', and then look at the sidebar on the screen and see a track I used to really love but would not ever have remembered otherwise.

The downside is that it has led to some late nights on a school week.

Now, the Germans... the Germans look after a lot of this stuff. They still appreciate it.

A little game you should play, before you play the track try to guess what is on the sidebar. Usually I do quite well.

Decided to try Ring my Bell and I felt sure Funky Town would be there, I was right. But I did see a little gem that, I hadn't forgotten but was happy to blast through my system. The wife as always is bewildered, she loves mainly classical music.

If one likes Peter Gabriel...this a live version of one of his big hits from the So album (circa 1987) "In your eyes)...the video is from audience cams...but the sound is very good...and an excellent cameo from Sevara Nazakhan...towards the end well worth a watch...
