Too twangy for my tastes, but I always liked what Tom Morello could do with them.

Re: Anyone like pretty Guitars, pic for KMS also
They are twangy without some sort of overdrive. I love them but they're not a comfortable guitar. I liked Albert Collins' set up with the humbucker in front and the switch in the middle. They made a walnut model too but they're rare. I had the Tele Thinline semi hollow for a while. Useless for sustain until I filled the cavity with fiber glass resin .. after that she screamed like a bitch on fire.

22 frets is nice. I never knew American Strats came with 22. The humbucker at the bridge is something I don't care for. The single-coil bridge is raunchier, screamier. Real pearl inlays, nice. The tress rod at the peg head makes a lot of sense, but it looks a little queer to me. Congrads.

Re: Anyone like pretty Guitars, pic for KMS also
This is the Deluxe and I too was mixed on the double coil. I just wanted this color. I played a Hot Rod 62 this weekend that had a 22 fret Rosewood and I have seen custom shop guitars with the 22 fret.
The guitar is just an American Deluxe HSS.

I'll bet your bottom dollar that when that Strat turns up, the Les Paul doesn't get much use. Strats & Telecasters feel like a part of your body & you can just play forever. Always thought the Les Paul was too heavy myself. The shoulder aches in 10 minutes.
Here are my two babies, which unfortunately have to remain safely tucked away in the UK:

Re: Anyone like pretty Guitars, pic for KMS also
The Tangerine Stratocaster has arrived. Wow. What a sweet frickin guitar. The action was the lowest I had ever seen on any guitar and I actually had to raise it a bit.
The neck is fast. The sound is awesome. No complaints. I like it better (I think than my Les Paul). It rocks witht he humbucker, but I can S1 switch t to single coils if I want. Total versatlity. I cannot put it down and my Les Paul is sitting in his corner. I can really shred on this one. I have been burning some Randy Rhodes solos, heartbreaker solo and some Hendrix tonight. Love it, Love it. And . . It looks sweet. I am stoked.

Closer up. Hard to get color to show right, esepcially indoor with iphone camera.
One more.

Re: Anyone like pretty Guitars, pic for KMS also
two luvverly guitars.
In a previous life when I was single and had disposable income, I used to have a Gibson Les - sounded great but was just too heavy.
Changed to a strat, much easier to play. Would have loved a telecaster, SG, and even a Junior.
Anyway
Sold them all, now have a cheapo knock off strat but still love playing it, badly. Great therapy for bad days - go to my bedroom, crank up the baby marshall, annoy the neighbours
