    RIP Lux Interior

    RIP Lux Interior

I saw the Cramps a few times and he was a great showman. Behind the vampy kitsch of some of the Cramps music was a core of hardcore blues and rockabilly.

Love that band and its schtick

    RIP

Oh that's sad. I didn't realise he was that old but then again why not?
I first heard 'Goo Goo Muck' (amazing single) in about 1983 and I think that was the year I saw them at the Birmingham Odeon. I was never in love with them but I quite enjoy 30 mins of The Cramps now and then. Terrific stage presence the band had. Lux would dive into the mosh pit, Poison Ivy would stand there in her leathers, playing guitar and chewing gum. And the drummer was as cool as fuck with his shades and rockabilly quiff. A very unique band and sound.

    RIP Lux.
