Looking for a cheap deal, I'm beginner, I'd like something I want to play on, but not cost me a fortune. Second hand is more than fine.
Suggestions? :S
I'm a figure of eight, I'm a pencil. I'm the side panel of a tractor...
Go to any large market. There will be a guitar stall.
From a thousand Bhat and up for a starter acoustic.

Yamaha guitars are usually a safe bet and they are only a little more expensive than the many off-brand brands around. Robinson stores usually carry them. The F310 has a nice sound, is solidly built, and as long as you don't have giant hands and Fat Bastard fingers the narrow neck can be a boon.
^ there's your answer. Plus there is a resale value/market. I don't know the street names of BKK but if you were at MBK and traveled down as if you were going to Panthip you hit a Skytrain stop. Under that station you'll find the best guitar store in BKK.
^ Are you talking about BTS Siam or BTS National Stadium?
go to any mathayom 4, 5 or 6 class there will be at least 3 fairly decent acoustic guitars. please steal only one, leave something for the rest of us.
Imodium can't stop me.
^ I'm sorry. I'm pretty fucking dense. I'm still not sure which one you're referring to.
Are these the same?
The one that goes to Nana is on the Sukhumvit line. So you're saying it's on the Silom line? If it's prob the first stop after the interchange and not National, I am guessing that it's Ratchadamri(not Ratchathewi.) Does that seem right?

Don't know the name cause I've never been on it, only walked under it on my way to Panthip from Siam Square. Any Thai musician in Bkk would know. Sorry.
I think the mystery station is RAJTHEWEE. The 'I don't need anything fancy as I'm just a beginner' is fallacious reasoning. If you buy a cheapo you will soon get disheartened and will soon progress from beginner to no longer a player. Get a Yamaha.
Lot of truth to that statement. Cheap guitars play like crap and will discourage you, so will classical guitars, fat, flat baseball bat neck.
this is kind of old but might be worth a look, think it mentions jonny's place -
