and this one is just plain beautiful...
and while I was finding that on my YouTube favourites...this started...so what the heck...
Here is one of my current favorites from Isaan. It's called 'Kon Ban Diew Gun" by Pai Pongsatorn.
Another really good Isaan singer, Takatan is shown in this video. She's the one that says, "jaaaa" when Pai says, "nong Takatan" at around 2:23. Check out her videos too if you like. They are generally quite slow.

Well, I see you're back, NokYai ....
Yes sir. It's good to be back.
Well, I might as well post another video. Here is Takatan singing, 'Fan Gep.'

That sound - almost a sickly, sweet melancholy ... strangely hypnotic. I'm so drawn to it. Eerie.
If you haven't heard of Poompuang just watch this and see why she was so famous
Screw this boring Isan crap. Tata young still rules and I like her a bit chubby like this
and boom
Just listen to this motherfunker, pure 70s groove with the coldest backbeat this side of James Brown. Put it on loud and try to stop yourself dancing. Or sample it for a hip hop track and watch the millions flow in.
Paradise Bangkok event this Friday in Bangkok at cosmic cafe (RCA). Good vibes and great music.
