Fifty lashes for buggery apparently - twice that if you were an officer, which would be enough to deter anyone, I reckon.
If 6 of the 7 dwarves were not Happy, does that prove that dwarves are generally an unhappy lot?

Harrry who? Is he a prince?
Two books on the go now, "Comrades and Strangers, Behind the Closed Doors of North Korea" by Michael Harrold.
He was the first Brit to live and work in North Korea for seven years as a language adviser for English translation of speeches for the Country's president.
Anyone read this? Well worth it.
"Birdsong" by Sebastian Faulks. Its quite good so far. The writing is top notch. I always like the pick-n-mix aspect of book swap places in guesthouses.

Or would you like to swing on a star?
I'm on books that are commerically written by ghosts, aimed at the NY times bestseller list (for a week), fast-paced thriller types at the mo-mo.
I'm digesting them like lettuce. <burp>
"Pandemic" the current one is called, I think. It has what I'm after.

Heart of Darkness by Joseph Conrad - even though it's only 110 pages it's taking me a wee while to get through it but well worth it. Before that I read The Invisible Man by Ralph Ellison which was a thoroughly enjoyable book - I couldn't understand people who had said that it was hard going - so descriptive and thought-provoking.

That's something that I've really missed having not been on holiday for two years, not even a honeymoon. I'm going to have to persuade The Wife to be a bit more adventurous.Originally Posted by Bubba
