    Books

    FYI---just came back from Asia books' new outlet (Suk. 61 sub 3 one door down from the Michelin man) by the Ekaimai mall and they have a 30 to 80% off sale going on until the 6th of October. It's a good slection, but I think you have to spend some time in there to make it worth your while. Make sure you fill out one of their cards saying that the prices aren't as discounted as they should be. Maybe they'll take note, maybe not. I purchased a few maps and a book, but a lot of the paperbacks were still only 30-60% off of thier 500 baht original price. Apparently, they'll be another sale after the 6th. so after reviewing their cards who knows.

    I thought everywhere had a 30 – 60% off sale all the time in LOS. The Emporium always does. But there stuff is always 30 – 60% more expensive anyway. So……..

    Re: Books

    Just in case you missed the word "outlet" next to their (AB) headquarters I'll point it out. For example, I bought a tarot card set orginally priced at 1050baht for around 210 and a 245baht map for 37baht. Also, purchased a 500+baht paperback for 230baht. Keep in mind these are not secondhand. Anyway---just offering an alternative to the many options out there that aren't nec. fixed priced.

    Why would you waste 1050 baht on a tarot card set?

    Re: Books

    Woops - Perhaps I need those tarot cards to have told me that

    Okay, very easy to rephrase. Why would you wast 210 baht on a tarot card set?

    Well if I want to reply in Kerux style (God help me I must be spending too much time on this forum)....
    It's only your opinion that they are a waste of money.

    Bring one piece of evidence here to show tarot cards are a waste of money and we'll discuss it. Go on, just one, and I'll eat it for breakfast.

    (shit I can't shake this persona off now, it's catching)

    Because people believe this.

    "Losing a card from your tarot deck is a sure sign that you are going to have a hideous death very soon"

    Why buy something that if you lose you will die. So go on, eat that for breakfast

    Well I've already had a fried egg sandwich now, but I've never actually heard this comment before. I'm no expert however. I have the Rider Waite pack with the key to the tarot book written by A.E.Waite, and he doesn't mention anything like that. It's a bit like saying you shouldn't buy mirrors because some people believe if you break one you will have seven years bad luck.

    ====================

    If I am sticking to Kerux persona here I should go wildly off topic now and start talking about 9/11 and quoting biblical passages at you.
