Great read. I loved the poem at the end about rainbows.

Really enjoying fiction at the moment. A few authors I would recommend:
1. James Rollins - Action/Adventure
2. Greg Ilses (Thriller/Suspense/War)
3. Terrence Strong (War/Military)
Non-Fiction:
1. Noam Chomsky
2. Bill Bryson
3. Malcolm Gladwell
4. Steve Coll
I would highly, highly recommend Carl Sagan's Shadows of Forgotten Ancestors. An absolute masterpiece that should be read by everyone. I finished reading it just a month ago and I'm already itching to read it again. Problem is, there is a backlog of books yammering at me to be read. Oh well, I'll get back to it someday.
I read it in grade 9 and it still infects my dreams. Bloody brilliant.
Brilliant in a frantic and paranoid way. Try Dostoyevsky's Memoirs of the House of the Dead. My personal Dostoyevsky favorite.

I just gave a copy of Watership Down to my girlfriend - she's well-read but, somehow, missed it. She is going to LOVE it.

^ I clicked on some of these and now wish I hadn't. They seem dicey.

Reading after Theory - Valentine Cunningham
Not Saussure: A Critique of Post-Saussuean Literary Theory - Raymond Tallis
Both of these authors rip apart the total bollocks of deconstructionism, their advocates - Derrida, Paul de Man, Julia Kristeva and any other so-called literary theorist who can't read a book properly.

Pretty much anything by Terry Pratchett, or atleast anything within the discworld series.
"Extremely loud and incredibly close" is quite a poignant, and well written, book told through the eyes of a slightly troubled young boy. Similar in writing styles to The curious incident of the dog in the night.
Currently reading Brain Rules which is fantastic. If you're interested in learning or business, you'll enjoy it.
