I'm currently in Thailand from Korea and unable to use my bank card (international card from Korea; cirrus card to be exact). Anyone know of a bank where i can access my funds? Tried multiple banks in Pattaya with no luck including speaking to the manager; no help whatsoever. Any help appreciated!

Bangkok Bank is the best in Thailand. If they can't help, dunno.

you really shouldn't have any problems with a 'cirrus' card...it's an international thing...

Wow, havent heard of that before. Silly question, but are you using the right pin number? I know I checked that mine would work by withdrawing 100B here in Thailand before I left for the states. Not a problem one.

Standard Chartered are the biggest international bank here in Thailand (at least the opnly one with branches all over the place) - give them a try.
Thats who my visa card is issued through. 24 hour banking emergency number, website on the card. And its Star Plus rather than cirrus I think.

I've been teaching their staff on and off for the last few years - I guess I have no real idea if they are any good or not, but their staff insist they are the biggest, best and only international bank operating properly in Thailand
But they have no office in the USA!!! I had to call long distance on a calling card to speak to an agent in Thailand.Was easy though, 4 US cents a minute to call Thailand

I had a Korean Banking card with Cirrhus, and had no problem using it here in Thailand.
I can't remember exactly where, but at several different locations.
Maybe check your pin. Are you getting any message with it.
If you're being run out of town, get in front of the crowd and make it look like a parade.

i had cirrus before and some days it just wouldn't work and then 24 hours later no problem...same bank, same atm....a couple of days later and it doesn't work again.....run to another bank and it works fine.....luckily my wife got used to this little merry-go-round after a while....keep trying...nothing to lose...
What bank are you banking with in Korea? I have heard of many people that had the same problem before. If your actual card does not say 'International' on it, then it may not work. I had the same problem last year, and this year I have a card that says "International" on it.
