I have drank the water in Bangkok from time to time. I use it for cooking. I use it for brushing my teeth. No problems here. I am still alive and well.

I think you should bring your own water with you when you come over, and have yer mom send you water over when you're about to run out, better be safe than sorry eh?

Missle Command Champion!When I got here more than eight years ago, I always filled up my water bottle from the sink at the hotel. I had no ill effects. Since then, I have gotten married and my wife frowns on my drinking anything but bottled water. Though I drink some, I must admit that I tend to drink more Coke Zero.
A friend once told me that the water in Bangkok is fine to drink, but the further one gets from the plant, and especially when combined with older sections of the city, it might become more problematic due to problems with the pipes.
Wow!, I am surprised some of you actually drink from the tap!! I brushed my teeth with tap water, but drinking it??For drinking, stick to bottled water. You can buy a liter for as little as 10 baht, not worth the risk of drinking from the tap.
