    Which ones did you get?

BTW, when I was there, my hotel had free bottled water in the bathroom with a note to use even when brushing your teeth.

I do not think even Thais drink the water.

I was never vaccinated. What should I have been vaccinated for? Haven't had a shot since I was 2. Everything seems fine so far...

I have drank the water in Bangkok from time to time. I use it for cooking. I use it for brushing my teeth. No problems here. I am still alive and well.

    No problem with the water.

    More a matter of perception.
When being run out of town, get in front of the crowd and make it appear like a parade.

I think you should bring your own water with you when you come over, and have yer mom send you water over when you're about to run out, better be safe than sorry eh?

but what if they deliberately contaminate it when it's coming through customs. It really is a jungle out there.

When I got here more than eight years ago, I always filled up my water bottle from the sink at the hotel. I had no ill effects. Since then, I have gotten married and my wife frowns on my drinking anything but bottled water. Though I drink some, I must admit that I tend to drink more Coke Zero.

A friend once told me that the water in Bangkok is fine to drink, but the further one gets from the plant, and especially when combined with older sections of the city, it might become more problematic due to problems with the pipes.

Wow!, I am surprised some of you actually drink from the tap!! I brushed my teeth with tap water, but drinking it?? For drinking, stick to bottled water. You can buy a liter for as little as 10 baht, not worth the risk of drinking from the tap.

    It's totally fine.

If anything bad happens to the OP there, it'll be getting knocked down by a yaa baa addled, M loi haa sip fuelled taxi driver or having his wallet stolen by a ladyboy after a couple of Khao San road buckets.
