Live close to your school, especially in Bangkok. I wouldn't want to commute on the BTS every day.

No international bank accounts I'm afraid.

You will have to get a local bank account. Whichever one your employer chooses to pay into!

You seem to really know little about Thailand. Pattaya is the sex tourism capital of the world and you will see a lot of old men with young brown prostitutes. You will also see a lot of child beggars and other "shocking" things from an East Midlands perspective. Greece is no comparison. You need to be psychologically prepared for this.

    ---Update---

My favorite parts of Nottingham: The small Paul Smith shop, the Lace Market area, the Arboretum, hanging out with deer in Wollaton Park. It is a very nice city.

^ I tend to agree....Pattaya is on the coast but it isn't an idyllic, tropical paradise.

    ---Update---

    Fcuk it!...I'm going home...

^It's good to be melodramatic sometimes....

Lovely snap of the council house all dolled up! It’s beenmega busy in Nottingham recently – Queenie visited, Olympic Torch passed – The councilhouse – she’s been looking a treat. I personally like all the Christmas lightson the Corner House.
As for ‘you know nothing about Thailand’ – no I don’t, that’swhy Im asking, and trying to find out, so that I do know..?
    Paul Smith shop preference?

    ---Update---

    Grand song choice!

Ah, ripcurl, that lovely Notts lass attitude; Robin Hood, I hope you didn't click "confirm" on that ticket purchase yet.

I'm talking about the shop on Byard lane.

If you don't know anything about Thailand, you might need to learn more about the sex tourism industry--it's arguably the biggest challenge for a white woman moving there. Even if you don't partake and the people you hang out with do not, you will be surrounded by it. Also, if you are looking for a boyfriend, think again; while there may be some catches in Thailand, the allure and availability of the thin Thai women around will be a constant threat.

It isn't a female-friendly country for sure. Maybe in Greece you could easily find Stelios wining and dining you with romantic crooning about how gorgeous you are, but it's going to be a very different story in Thailand.

So living close to work is a new revelation?

We can't recommend where you should live. We don't know you.

Is it easy to socialize? Depends on how sociable you are. We don't know you.

Visa: There are perhaps hundreds of threads on visas here. Check the paperwork forum.

    Use a Thai bank.

    Happy now?

Ill be sure to research the sex industry, so thanks.
Personal preference is the store on Low Pavement…the one onthe Lane is the Jeans store. I do like to pop in Dogma opposite though…
