    Newbie ! be gentle :-)

    Hi peeps
My names Eddie and of from Scotland. I am 45 years old and for the last 20 years i had been working in a factory . Iv your bog standard High School education and have no Degree.
I asked for redundancy from my factory job in 2010 ,the money was good but i was unhappy with the way my life was heading, doing the same thing day in and day out ( get the violins out).
I currently work at Tesco now , it does not make me a bad person tho ..Anyhooo, i will be coming to Thailand next year , hopefully in January but think i might save a bit more and
come over in April . I would be doing a 3 month internship with a volunteer group teaching English at an Ahka Hilltribe School .During my time there i will be doing a 120 hour TESOL course
and get a one year visa.
Now comes the fun bit ...I know im not perfect teacher material but i like to think my dazzling personality , dashing good looks (i was tired in the profile pic ) and sheer determination will
win the day. I really like the people and way of living in Thailand and i want to make a life for myself there.
This is a great forum and the banter is pretty good (the tips i am picking up as well are not bad either) And i look forward to chatting with you guys on the battlefield er i mean forums.

I can feel the love already
OK, got a question to ask......Is 3 months teaching at an Ahka Hilltribe School and having a 120hour TESOL going to improve my chances finding a decent teaching job (30-40k)?
Remember, i have no Degree and no previous teaching experience...

It won't hurt any...you'll find work. Your lack of a degree may make your life more complicated when it comes time to get a work permit.

    Another dazzling, dashing debutante.

Where do they all come from?
There are few problems in life that cannot be solved with toast.

One of them, however, is opening a can of corned beef with that stupid key. This cannot easily be done at the best of times, and toast is of surprisingly little use in resolving the issue.

Well, a third of them are zehner, and another third are Topper, and still another third are kingwilly.

    But this one is genuine!
We could all sit outside on banana lounges discussing the best way to rebuild a 4WD transmission and agree, through shared stories of conquests supporting our assertions, that there is no basis to the proposition that those least assured of their persuasions are the first to condemn others for theirs.
