Hi everyone,
I've recently been offered an interview with a language school in Ratchaburi. Have any of you ever been there and if so what was it like?
Thanks
I go there often. Anyways, Google is your friend.
Ratchaburi Province - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaRatchaburi (often shortened Rat'buri, Thai: ราชบุรี (Pronunciation)) is one of the central provinces (changwat) of Thailand. Neighbouring provinces are (from north clockwise) Kanchanaburi, Nakhon Pathom, Samut Sakhon, Samut Songkhram and Phetchaburi. In the west it borders Tanintharyi Division of Myanmar.
Ratchaburi means, "The land of the king."[1] The province is full of cultural heritage, beautiful landscapes and historical sites.
It is located 80 kilometres west of Bangkok and borders Burma to the west with the Tanaosi Range as a natural borderline.[2] The Mae Klong River flows through the centre of Ratchaburi town.
bit what's it like Stamp?
I've lived here for 10 years and love it; what can I tell you? PM me the school name and I may be able to give you some info.

Thanks for the replies. THX 1133: I would PM you but I haven't written 10 post yet. The language school is quite well known in Thailand and is also in Bangkok and Lopburi. They teach children. They seem to pay quite well. The main question I've got is that the job advert says 'Visa renewal, teaching permit, work permit, provided at the company’s expense, after probation '.
Does that mean that I am responsible for these documents for the first two months till after probation?
The company themselves will want me to start in October if I am successful in the interview.
Thanks
You won't really have any expense, since they won't start processing your work permit until after probation. It might be that they will give you the documents needed for Non-B visa, and let you fit that bill up front, then promise (hmmm) to get it back to you after probation. What visa are you on now?
In a word, yes. (not good) (will they really pay you back? Doubtful). But honestly, I don't know; I need a name. I have a Thai friend working for such a company and she seems happy and they pay her well. So, not all are bad.
How much is quite well; as this is an anonymous forum it's actually confidential to a point.
If it's over ฿35,000; then yes, not bad to start for this area. I taught for 5 years and my wife is an English teacher; so I have a clue.
The company is Fun Language International. Do you know them? The pay goes up to 35,000 after the probation period. Thanks
^ Give me a bit and I'll get back to you. I can't reach my friend yet to find out; it may well be the same company.
I will follow up.
Okay, I've contacted my friend and should have an answer asap, sorry for the delay.
---Update---
Okay, yes, my friend works for Fun Language and gives it an okay. So, go for it, good luck and let us know how it works out. cheers.
A friend used to work at their Thong lor branch and also gave it a thumbs up
